What is the TRUE speed of a multi-core processor?
If I were to get a Quad-core CPU at 3.0GHz, does that speed mean that EACH core is running at 3.0 (1200GHz) or is that the Total speed of the combined cores?
I'm looking into getting the new AMD Phenom II X4 3.0GHz CPU>
I know for a fact that Quad cores are able to process more at a single time compared to a dual core, and unless you are into major graphics design (photoshop, autocad, etc), I would get a dual core.
